Casa Valdese
Casa Valdese was the historic seat of the Germanic Kaiserwerth Deaconesses, who lived and worked here from 1885 to 1987 to serve the evangelical community in Rome.
In 1988 the building was donated to the community from the Waldensian Evangelical Church in Rhineland.
The renovations have transformed the residence of the Deaconesses in a hotel thanks to the funds and the solidarity of the Evangelical Church of Rhineland itself.
The Hotel Casa Valdese has established as main goal to financially support the Waldensian Faculty of Theology in Rome by its own work.
Casa Valdese is not just a hotel open to the public, but also a meeting place for the various evangelical groups to attend, that come from communities all across Europe.
